Dr. Samanger Purcell-Matthew, MD, obtained her degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2003, followed by a pediatric residency at Cooper University Hospital, Camden, NJ. With over two decades of experience in diverse healthcare settings, she brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to her practice.
Recognized for her empathetic manner, Dr. Purcell-Matthew stands as a resolute champion for children’s health. She places significant emphasis on patient-centered care, aiming to positively influence the holistic well-being of children from infancy through to young adulthood. Dr. Purcell-Matthew is duly licensed by both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Alabama Medical Commission.
When not in patient care, Dr. Purcell-Matthew finds joy in hiking, exploring new places, gardening, and cherishing family time. She also actively engages in teaching and children’s programs at her church, often providing care at health fairs.
