Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, and raised in Florence, Alabama, Amy Woods joined Central North Alabama Health Services, Inc. (CNAHSI) Health Care System in 2018. She earned her Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2015, she became a certified registered nurse practitioner, specializing in family primary care, with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
As a certified family nurse practitioner (NP-C, FAANP), Mrs. Woods is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized, evidence-based quality care through fostering a partnership with the patient and their family by teaching, motivating, and encouraging each patient to achieve and maintain their optimal health goals.
Mrs. Woods is a member of the Golden Key Honor Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her grandchildren, gardening, hiking, reading, and serving in her local church. Mrs. Woods is currently accepting new patients at Athens Family Health Center.
